When does the oak tree produce acorns?
An acorn is a seed of an oak tree encased in a shell. Oak trees begin to produce acorns in late September, and they continue to produce them until December. Green acorns are formed at the tips of branches in groups of three to five. When the acorns mature, they turn dark brown and fall.
Why do dandelion seeds fly?
So that they can get a suitable place to grow! Plant seeds are dispersed to different places so that they don’t grow very close to the parent plant. Seeds of plants like dandelions and cottonwood are light and have feathery bristles. The wind carries them to far-off places. If these seeds land in a suitable place, they begin to grow.
