Description
Polyethylene Glycol 6000 (PEG 6000) is a slip additive, softener and mold-release agent. It is a water-soluble carrier substance that offers a moisture-stabilising effect in creams and leaves a pleasant feel on the skin. It may be used in transparent toothpastes, and provides good compatibility with cetyl alcohol, glycerol, stearic acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, casein, and vegetable albumin. It is a water-soluble, waxy solid that is used in cosmetics.
